Quickstart — VipraGo live in under an hour
This guide takes a brand-new organization from signup to a working VipraGo instance — employees imported, policies set, and VipraBot answering — in roughly an hour.
1 · Create your organization
- Sign up and name your organization — this creates your isolated tenant.
- Set your timezone and add office locations (each location can carry its own holiday calendar and attendance rules).
- Pick your plan: Starter is free during open beta; every plan starts with a 14-day full-feature trial.
2 · Import your team
- Download the CSV template from Employees → Bulk Import.
- Fill in name, work email, department, role (admin / manager / member), and reporting manager.
- Upload — VipraGo validates rows, then emails each person a secure password-setup invitation.
- Spot-check the org chart that's generated from the manager columns.
3 · Configure core policies
- Control Center → Policies: set work-hour rules (shift times, grace period, overtime threshold).
- Attendance → IP Ranges: add office IPs and/or GPS geo-fences if you verify presence.
- Leave Settings: enable the leave types you use (from 14 available), set quotas and approval chains.
- Policies cascade org → country → location → department — configure once at the highest sensible level.
4 · Verify with VipraBot
- Ask VipraBot: “show today's attendance” — confirms attendance wiring.
- Ask: “what leave types do we have?” — confirms policy resolution.
- Apply for a test leave from a member account and approve it as manager — confirms the approval chain.
Tips
- Onboarding assistance is free for the first 90 days — email support@viprasoftware.com.
- You can re-run any wizard step later from Control Center; nothing is locked after setup.
FAQ
- How long does setup actually take?
- About an hour for a typical SMB: 10 minutes for org creation, 15 for CSV import, 25 for policies, and the rest verifying with test transactions.
- Do I need technical staff to set up VipraGo?
- No. Setup is wizard-driven with no code or consultants; the only file you handle is the employee CSV.
